Here's some general information in case anyone was wondering:
1) G&W hosts 4 Quest servers for our existing clients on our IBM iSeries computer: www, central, tn, and tne.
2) In addition to Quest, www actually hosts 2 statewide applications for Indiana: Log of Juveniles Held and Repository.
3) During an average work day, there are upwards of 800 people concurrently logged on to these servers.
4) During an average week, these servers respond to over 2.2 million requests.
5) Quest provides nearly instantaneous response time to the vast majority of these requests.
6) Even on our busiest server, with over 460 people concurrently pounding away, the average response time is a blazing 0.13 seconds. That server has statewide IN DCS attorneys e-filing all day on a slow interface that counts against our average response time. Without DCS in the equation, the average response time on that server drops to a blistering 0.067 seconds.
This speed provides the added benefits of less staff and less frustration for our clients. Watch people use their current systems, or competing systems. In larger jurisdictions, our clients could never accomplish the amount of work they get done if they were to use other applications (assuming the applications could even compete on functionality). They would need more staff simply because the systems are just too slow and cumbersome.
